Types of Respiratory Equipment

All of our safety equipment for construction sites is designed to offer the best comfort, fit, and reliability for keeping works safe and productive on the jobsite. Some of the different types of respiratory equipment available include:

Half and Full Respiratory Masks

Half and full respiratory masks are a type of non-disposable respirator that are designed to create a facial seal in order to better filter the air entering and exiting the user’s airway. These respirators come equipped with two cartridges or filter pieces that can easily be changed to meet different safety requirements. While both types of masks can be used in a variety of different work environments, half respiratory masks only cover the nose and mouth area while full respiratory masks cover the entire face.

Powered Air Purifying Respirators

Powered air purifying respirators offer a durable, lightweight, and efficient system that can easily be belt mounted. This type of respirator is ideal for high stress environments, as it provides the user with convenience, comfort, and confidence while working.

Single-Use Disposable Masks

Unlike other types of respiratory equipment, single-use disposable masks are specifically designed for one-time use, as well as to provide protection against certain oil-based particles. This type of mask features an adjustable nose clip that allows the user to custom fit the mask, creating a more secure seal. Single-use disposable masks are most often used by healthcare professionals and workers who may be exposed to airborne pathogens.
